Job Details:
- Position: After School Coding Instructor
- Location: Anoka Hennepin Public School District
- Schedule: Working 4 hours per week during weekday after-school hours (3:00-5:00 PM)
Responsibilities:
- Engage Students: Bring a CAN-DO attitude to teach pre-packaged lessons that make learning coding fun and accessible.
- Teach Basic Concepts: Introduce children to basic coding principles using engaging, kid-friendly software and activities.
- Prepare and Deliver Lessons: Arrive 15 minutes before class to set up and create a dynamic learning environment.
- Follow Guidelines: Adhere to safety guidelines and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Children: Preferred experience includes youth summer camps, youth coaching, Sunday School instruction, or having school-age children of your own.
- Availability: Must be available during weekday after-school hours (3:00-5:00 PM).
- Reliable Transportation: A valid driver’s license and the ability to transport and store supplies.
- Background Check: Required for all instructors.
