We’re looking for a doer and a builder. You’ll help manage and coordinate the full volunteer HR function-from intake to setup to compliance. You’ll guide team members, troubleshoot issues, and build smooth systems that make every volunteer feel equipped and engaged.
What You’ll Do
- Receive and route volunteer applications
- Oversee intake, placement, and onboarding steps
- Manage the onboarding and exit support volunteer
- Ensure compliance with HR documents (agreements, waivers, etc.)
- Manage background screenings (where applicable)
- Collaborate with the President on HR strategy
- Track volunteer flow, gaps, and retention
- Provide leadership to help HR run smoothly
- Managing systems and people with care
- Seeing the big picture and executing the details
- Following and building procedures
- Communicating clearly with cross-functional teams
- Working independently with accountability
- Have experience in nonprofit HR or People Ops
- Are familiar with Google Workspace, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Airtable, or HR tools
- Can create or adapt onboarding documents
