About the Job
Youtech is seeking a skilled Tracking and Analytics Implementation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, implementing, and validating conversion tracking across GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and other advertising platforms. Your role will involve building clean measurement foundations for clients, ensuring accurate event tracking, and supporting paid media and SEO teams with trustworthy data.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) accounts, containers, and environments for new and existing clients.
- Install and configure GA4 on client websites (Shopify, WordPress, custom builds, etc.) and ensure best-practice base setup.
- Implement GA4 through GTM, including GA4 config tags, event tags, triggers, and variables.
- Configure GA4 settings such as Google Signals, data retention, enhanced measurement rules, internal traffic filters, and referral exclusions.
- Build and deploy custom events and conversions in GA4 and GTM (form fills, thank-you pages, calls, ecommerce actions, lead events, etc.).
- Set up and validate Google Ads conversion tracking, including importing GA4 conversions and confirming attribution alignment.
- Install and configure advertising pixels across platforms like Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and others as needed.
- Debug and QA tracking using GTM Preview, GA4 DebugView, Tag Assistant, and ad platform diagnostics.
- Audit existing tracking setups to identify and fix broken tags, duplicated events, misattribution, or missing conversions.
- Maintain clean documentation of tracking specs, conversion maps, and implementation notes per client.
- Collaborate with internal teams (paid media, SEO, account managers, dev) to translate campaign goals into measurable events.
- Stay up-to-date with GA4, GTM, and platform tracking changes, best practices, and emerging measurement tech.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in analytics implementation, conversion tracking, or marketing operations.
- Strong proficiency in Google Tag Manager, including triggers, variables, custom events, regex logic, and debugging workflows.
- Strong proficiency in GA4 setup and configuration, including custom events, conversions, filters, referral exclusions, channel grouping, and attribution basics.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting Google Ads conversions and imported GA4 conversions.
- Hands-on experience installing and validating pixels for Meta and other paid platforms.
- Comfort working inside CMS environments like Shopify, WordPress, and other web platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, especially when diagnosing and tracking issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple clients in a deadline-driven agency environment.
- Clear communicator who can document work, explain setups, and support internal stakeholders.
