This is an on-site volunteer role for a Grant Writer based in Oak Park, IL. The Grant Writer will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities, researching potential funding sources, writing compelling grant proposals, and managing grant administration. This role involves collaborating with team members to secure funding that supports the organization's mission and programs aimed at empowering youth in under-resourced communities.
- Proficiency in Grant Writing and Proposal Writing
- Experience with Grant Administration and Prospect Research
- Knowledge of Fundraising strategies and practices
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with nonprofit funding and youth-oriented programs is a plus
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
