Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on landscaping machinery, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagnostics tools
- Conduct diesel engine repairs, small engine maintenance, and general equipment troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs effectively
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all equipment repairs and inspections
- Assist with vehicle maintenance including hydraulic systems, electrical work, and engine repairs for company trucks and trailers
- Support the repair of power generation systems and heavy machinery used in landscaping projects
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience or service technician experience with outdoor power equipment, trucks, trailers, and or similar machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge of engine and electrical diagnostics skills
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting complex systems
- Experience with electrical work, soldering, welding, and electrical diagnostics to resolve wiring or component issues
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and small engine maintenance techniques
- Knowledge of equipment repair procedures for generators, heavy machinery, and power generation systems
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely in outdoor environments
- Familiarity with a wide array of machinery, vehicles, and trailers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to equipment troubleshooting and repairs
- snow removal experience and or a willingness to learn snow removal services.
