Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations efficiently.
- Provide clear information about dental services, insurance policies, and office procedures using strong communication skills.
- Collect and verify patient data accurately through data entry into the system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Use dental terminology appropriately when discussing dental procedures or patient concerns to ensure clarity.
- Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and update appointment calendars regularly.
- Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate patient flow and address urgent inquiries or issues as they arise.
- Building a schedule and making recalls as well as reaching out to new patients
Qualifications
- Bilingual abilities are highly preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in data entry and familiarity with healthcare management software like Practice Web.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of dental terminology related to dentistry is beneficial but can be learned on the job.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
