As a cook you will ensure customer satisfaction by preparing and serving high quality food products in a safe and cost effective manner in order to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and protect the assets of the hotel. To embrace the values of the Company Culture and Guiding Principles.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all prep work related to the menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner.
- Communicate with the Chef regarding specials for the day, special instructions, forecasts, and reservations.
- Control food usage to minimize waste.
- Prepare and cook orders in accordance with portion and quality standards specified in recipes.
- Advisor supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required.
- Complete daily cleaning and sanitize all areas of the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins and counters
- Ensure all foods are stored in proper containers and shelving order.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
- Maintain a clean, pleasant, and professional image to the guest.
- Assist by performing dish washing or other kitchen duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Working in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with Cook established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- Requires strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills required.
- Must have open availability work weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:

- Stand for extended periods of time.

- Ability to bend, lift, kneel, and be in motion for the full day.
- Must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds.
