Job Summary
We are seeking to add motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaners to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of townhomes as well as a neighborhood office and gym, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to the overall appearance and safety of our clients’ premises, supporting their operational success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse settings, utilizing professional cleaning techniques and equipment to deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial & residential spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen/kitchenette, living area, laundry room, offices, restrooms, lobbies, and common areas, adhering to established standards.
- Operate cleaning equipment efficiently and safely.
- Handle chemical agents responsibly, following safety protocols for mixing, applying, and disposing of cleaning chemicals like floor cleaning chemicals and floor waxing products.
- Carry out carpet cleaning tasks using appropriate methods and equipment to remove stains and dirt effectively.
- Lift heavy cleaning supplies or equipment safely through manual handling techniques while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Communicate any and all issues proactively to employers so that they may be addressed immediately.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services with knowledge of environmental services best practices.
- Proven experience in residential cleaning with knowledge of environmental services best practices.
- Proficiency in using various cleaning equipment such as floor buffing machines, floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and carpet cleaners is a bonus, not required.
- Strong understanding of floor care techniques including floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, and polishing. (bonus but not required)
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining compliance with safety regulations related to chemical handling.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required during routine cleaning activities.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on hygiene standards across different surfaces and environments.
- Good communication skills coupled with a customer service mindset to ensure positive interactions with clients.
