Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures effectively across different surfaces and environments.
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items with care.
• Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and janitorial tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain floors through proper cleaning techniques like floor care treatments and stain removal to preserve their appearance and longevity.
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as trash removal, outdoor surface cleaning, and landscape debris clearance when required.
• Communicate professionally with clients or residents to address specific cleaning needs or concerns while ensuring excellent customer service.
• Use cleaning detergents responsibly following safety guidelines for effective sanitation without compromising health standards.
• Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as inventorying supplies or coordinating schedules for residential or commercial clients.
• Practice manual handling techniques for heavy lifting or moving equipment safely to prevent injury during cleaning tasks.

Experience

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience in residential or commercial settings is highly preferred.
• Experience in hotel housekeeping or residential cleaning demonstrates strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with various cleaning methods including carpet cleaning, floor care, and surface sanitation is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents, equipment operation, and safety protocols ensures efficient task execution.
• Outdoor work experience can be beneficial for handling exterior cleaning duties or landscape debris removal.
• Strong time management skills are essential for completing daily tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
