Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor environments
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently
- Conduct seasonal tasks such as snow plowing during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols during outdoor work and equipment operation
- Assist with landscape design projects involving hardscape features like pathways, patios, or retaining walls
Qualifications
- Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of grounds maintenance and landscaping practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, lawn care equipment, and irrigation systems
- Ability to identify various plants, pests, and diseases relevant to horticulture; familiarity with pesticide management is a plus
- Knowledge of safety procedures for operating landscaping machinery and handling chemicals responsibly
- Strong physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail in maintaining the health and appearance of landscaped areas
- Valid experience in tree trimming, gardening, groundskeeping equipment operation, or hardscape installation is highly desirable
