The Technician II, Maintenance & Fleet Manager is responsible for performing experienced / journeyman level handyman/fleet manager service and repairs, as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- This position will also work as a Maintenance Technician II, see job description for details and requirements.
- Ensure accurate data entry for the management of the Fleet Management System.
- Manage preventative and scheduled maintenance on vehicles and responds to emergency assistance as needed.
- Communicate policy and leading practices regrading fleet management.
- Ensure vehicle registration and insurance requirements are up to date at all times.
- Provide support for fleet management as assigned.
- Prioritizes safety in the accomplishment of all functions and contributes to the leadership of a safety culture.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Five years of related schooling or equivalent experience in commercial work.
- Skill in using hand and power tools required.
- Skill in performing preventative maintenance. Must be able to meet YMCA transportation requirements.
- Able to work varied hours, including late nights and weekends due to projects, maintenance Issues, and rotation of on-call.
- Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel.
- Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency.
- Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
Schedule:
This is a full time position averaging 40 hours weekly. The ideal candidate must have flexible availability including days, evening, weekends and holidays, if needed for emergencies.
