Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hardscape Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of outdoor hardscape features, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative stonework. Your expertise will help transform outdoor spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation of hardscape features
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, excavating, and setting forms for concrete or stonework
- Operate power tools such as saws, drills, compactors, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Install pavers, bricks, concrete slabs, retaining walls, and other hardscape elements with precision
- Use hand tools like trowels, levels, hammers, and caulking guns to achieve professional finishes
- Coordinate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed on-site during all phases of construction
- Conduct inspections of completed work to meet quality standards and client specifications
- Assist with related tasks such as masonry, concrete finishing, plastering, roofing prep, or framing as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies throughout project execution
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on hardscape installation or related fields such as masonry or landscaping
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for outdoor construction projects
- Hands-on knowledge of using hand tools and power tools safely in a construction setting
- Experience working with concrete forming, masonry materials, or decorative stonework is highly desirable
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid steers or mini-excavators is a plus
- Background in construction management or estimating is advantageous but not required
- Knowledge of plumbing or electrical systems relevant to outdoor features can be beneficial
- Strong understanding of safety standards on construction sites and ability to perform inspections effectively
