Role Description This is a part-time, on-site After School Staff role located in Charlotte, NC. The After School Staff member supports children during after-school hours by supervising activities, assisting with homework, and guiding enrichment experiences in reading, writing, science, and math. Daily tasks include implementing age-appropriate learning activities, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and promoting positive behavior and social interactions. The role also involves preparing materials, setting up and cleaning activity spaces, communicating with families and colleagues, and following center policies and procedures.
Qualifications

• Ability to support academic enrichment in core subjects such as reading, writing, science, and math.
• Strong child supervision skills and commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with children, families, and team members.
• Organizational and time-management skills to coordinate activities and manage daily routines.
• Experience working with school-age children in educational, camp, or childcare settings is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with a team, follow program guidelines, and adapt to changing needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education, child development, or related fields is a plus.
• Willingness to complete background checks and any required training or certifications.
