Young Blood Beer Company is an award-winning, boundary-pushing microbrewery holding it down on King Street in downtown Madison, just steps from the Capitol, and we’re growing. With our new DeForest spot coming online in May. We’re building a kitchen team that hits just as hard as our beer.

We’re not here to play it safe. And neither are you.

So what are we looking for?

• Provide our guests with that vacation vibe, creating a welcoming and positive experience for everyone.
• Be able to educate our tap room guests about our food and beverage offerings while assessing their preferences to get them into the perfect beer.
• Understanding that proper cash handling and age verification are not only part of the job but are also necessary to comply with alcohol and health regulations.
• Ability to work swiftly on your feet for several hours at a time and lift 40 lb while running food to customers and clearing tables of glass and waste
• Cleanliness, proper sanitation, and organization aren't just items on a checklist, but necessary for long-term success.
• Knowing when a customer needs another or has had too many and can handle all customer interactions appropriately.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work more than one shift
• Have a valid Village of Deforest Operator (Bartending) License or ability to acquire one
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc, for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• One year previous service industry or customer service experience preferred
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and events.

Wage Range: This is a tipped position that pays $7/hr plus tips. The bartenders at our King St and Northstreet locations average between $15 and $40 per hour in addition to their hourly wage, and we expect similar levels at DeForest.
