The Parts Manager oversees all daily operations of the Parts Department, ensuring customers and internal teams have the parts and accessories they need. Responsibilities
Department Leadership
- Lead, train, and develop Parts Department staff.
- Maintain a positive and professional team culture.
- Manage scheduling, daily workflow, and performance expectations.
Customer Engagement
- Assist customers in selecting the correct parts, accessories, and gear.
- Provide expert-level product knowledge for all Powersports brands sold.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through accuracy, speed, and communication.
Operational & Inventory Management
- Oversee parts inventory levels, ordering, receiving, and returns.
- Track inventory movement and ensure proper stocking based on seasonal trends.
- Maintain organized parts storage areas and a clean, professional retail displays.
- Work closely with the Service Department to fulfill repair and warranty part needs.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and monitor backorders.
Sales & Profitability
- Monitor parts sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
- Ensure proper pricing, margins, and cost controls.
- Support promotional displays, merchandising, and seasonal sales efforts.
- Track department KPIs and provide reporting to management.
Qualifications
- 2 years Powersports or automotive parts experience required; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of parts inventory systems and dealership DMS.
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for Powersports equipment and an understanding of major brands (Honda, Polaris, Yamaha, Can-Am, etc.).
