Responsibilities
- Parts Counter Associates will: Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly
- professional
- and efficient manner
- May require selling parts to all internal and external customers over the counter through the shop or on the phone
- or may entail pulling orders
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled
- Maintains a good driving record and is considered “insurable” by our auto insurance carrier
- Communicates with internal and external customers respectfully and courteously at all times
- Drives safely and courteously at all times
- Picks up and/or delivers parts to designated accounts
- Operate the forklift safely to unload or load freight.
- Communicate effectively with others verbally and using computer systems
- Ensures that areas of the parts department are properly stocked and organized
- Ensures the cleanliness of the parts department by disposing of used boxes and trash
- sweeping floors
- and dusting parts bins daily
- Crates all cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when the part has been replaced
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Equipment/Semi/Trailer parts background preferred
- Ability to memorize parts numbers
- strong attention to detail
- and the ability to multitask
- Strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated stable work history with good references
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- 1 year related experience and/or training
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
- Able to pass a background and drug screen
- Sales Experience Preferred
- Experience in RV and Trailers
- Looking for people-oriented individuals with experience in building rapport in person and navigating positive conversations over the phone
- Ability to plan and lay out your day to be efficient
- Ability to meet deadlines
