Social Media Specialist - Part Time

Role Description

We are seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern (internship) or Specialist (part-time) for an on-site/hybrid opportunity in Stacy, MN for the semester. In this role, you will assist in managing and growing our social media presence by developing engaging content, analyzing social media performance, and executing campaigns that resonate with our community. Some key responsibilities may include:

• Create and schedule content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok with the intent to drive sales, educate about nutrition and brand values, and involve the community.
• Design engaging graphics with occasional support from the Creative Marketing Manager, short-form videos, and copy that align with brand voice and campaign goals
• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and engage with followers
• Track performance metrics and compile weekly reports on reach, engagement, and follower growth
• Research industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging platform features
• Support influencer outreach and collaboration logistics
• Contribute ideas for campaigns, promotions, and seasonal content
• Other tasks or duties as assigned. 
• Other projects may include data analytics, blog/article creation, podcasting, etc.

Required Qualifications

• Positive attitude with the ability to take initiative on projects
• Love for pets and their wellbeing
• Ability to connect positively with others
• Experience in Social Media Content Creation and Communication
• Skills in Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing
• Interest in Marketing and a passion for connecting with audiences
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Excellent written communication and creativity in storytelling

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Digital Marketing certificates.
• Other digital marketing or project management experience.
• Portfolio of relevant social media work.

This position is expected to run October through December with the potential opportunity to extend into a part-time or full-time position if selected. This position may be available as a full-time or part-time position depending on the candidate's availability. This is a paid position.
