Responsibilities
- Support teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education
- Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism
- Help prepare teaching materials and classroom activities aligned with curriculum development standards
- Supervise children during activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement
- Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions and emotional development
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and caregivers to promote student success and well-being
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education techniques, including working with individuals with autism or disabilities
- Classroom experience involving lesson planning and curriculum implementation in early childhood or Montessori environments preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and students
- Experience supporting literacy education, math instruction, or toddler care is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work patiently and compassionately with young children across diverse backgrounds
