We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Loan Servicing Specialist to oversee post-close loan management, ensuring timely payments, accurate draw disbursements, and smooth communication between borrowers, title companies, and internal teams.
This role will be critical in protecting loan performance, managing the borrower relationship after funding, and providing accurate reporting to both capital partners and internal stakeholders.
- Manage all post-closing activities including payment tracking, escrow management, and borrower communications.
- Monitor borrower compliance with loan terms, insurance requirements, and project timelines.
- Review and process draw requests for construction and renovation loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budget allocations.
- Coordinate with inspectors, contractors, and title companies to verify work completion before fund disbursement.
- Track delinquencies and work with borrowers on payment plans or issue resolution.
- Identify and escalate potential risk or default scenarios to senior management.
- Maintain accurate servicing records in loan management systems.
- Generate periodic reports for capital partners on loan performance, draw activity, and servicing metrics.
- Work closely with underwriting, processing, and capital markets teams to ensure smooth loan transitions from closing to servicing.
- Support the development and implementation of servicing workflows and tools.
Must-Have
- 3 years of experience in loan servicing, mortgage servicing, or construction loan administration.
- Strong understanding of draw management and construction budget tracking.
- Proficiency in loan servicing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
- Based in the Bay Area and able to work on-site at Menlo Park office.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with private money lending or non-QM mortgage products.
- Familiarity with secondary market reporting requirements.
- Bilingual English/Chinese a plus (for borrower/vendor communication).
