Duties
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized, properly labeled, and replenished regularly to meet customer demand
- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and locating items throughout the store
- Handle all cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity, including cashing out customers and balancing registers at shift end
- Promote upselling opportunities by recommending additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain a clean and safe store environment by adhering to merchandising standards and safety protocols
- Provide friendly and professional customer service via phone etiquette and face-to-face interactions, ensuring each shopper feels valued
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or similar environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to assist bilingual customers effectively
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Experience with product demos, merchandising, upselling techniques, and grocery store operations is highly desirable
