Senior Accountant

A growing national behavioral health treatment provider is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support financial operations across multiple residential and outpatient treatment facilities. This position reports directly to the CFO and plays a key role in treasury management, multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, and improving internal accounting processes.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience, preferably within healthcare or behavioral health, and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, multi-location organization.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cash management, banking activity, and treasury operations across multiple entities.
• Manage intercompany transactions, management fee allocations, and entity-level accounting.
• Administer corporate credit cards, expense reporting, and spending controls.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with external CPA partners on month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
• Review staff accountant work and provide guidance on accounting procedures.
• Support banking transitions, financial system improvements, and process standardization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions required.
• Strong knowledge of treasury management, banking operations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or comparable accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare accounting experience, ideally within behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or multi-site healthcare organizations.
• CPA designation or CPA candidate.
• Experience with month-end close, financial audits, and cash forecasting.
• Previous experience supervising or reviewing accounting staff.
