Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Director to lead the clinical operations of a brand-new detox and residential substance use treatment center in Iowa. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing clinical programming, providing clinical supervision, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping build a strong, mission-driven clinical culture from the ground up.
The ideal candidate is a licensed LCSW or LPC in Iowa with prior inpatient treatment experience and a proven track record of clinical leadership and supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for detox and residential levels of care
- Deliver required clinical supervision to licensed and associate-level clinical staff
- Ensure clinical services align with state regulations, accreditation standards, and evidence-based best practices
- Oversee clinical documentation, treatment planning, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with Medical, Nursing, and Operations leadership to support integrated care
- Assist with program development, policies & procedures, and clinical workflows for a new facility
- Monitor quality assurance, audits, and chart reviews
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of clinical staff
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to overall program growth and stability
Qualifications:
- Active LCSW or LPC license in the state of Iowa (required)
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Clinical supervision experience (required)
- Prior experience in an inpatient, residential, or detox treatment setting (preferred)
- Strong understanding of substance use treatment models and levels of care
- Knowledge of compliance, documentation standards, and clinical best practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
