Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator/General Laborer to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will operate various machinery,, and ensure the smooth flow of production. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in machining, fabrication, and materials handling within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Set up and run a slitter type machine and/or fill in with material handling operations
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control and inspection of finished products
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport raw materials and finished goods
- Assist with assembly line tasks, including manufacturing, packaging, and materials handling to support production flow
- Read job descriptions and follow procedures accordingly
- Perform minor maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime
Requirements
- Ability to read service manuals accurately and apply mechanical knowledge in a manufacturing setting
- Experience with tooling setup, and the use of hand tools in a factory environment
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
- Prior factory or warehouse experience involving materials handling or assembly line work is preferred
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one upon hire is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
