Interim Lead Cook
Full‑Time | Monday–Friday |Location: Sanford, ME
York County Community Action Corp. (YCCAC) Head Start is hiring a Lead Cook to prepare nutritious meals for young children in a supportive, mission‑driven environment. If you’re looking for steady hours, meaningful work, and excellent benefits—with no nights or weekends—this could be a great fit.

Your role:
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children
- Follow CACFP guidelines for nutrition and portion sizes
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and temperature controls
- Oversee daily kitchen operations
- Supervise and support nutrition/kitchen staff
- Keep kitchen areas clean, organized, and inspection‑ready
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Food preparation experience required
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform repetitive kitchen tasks
- Must pass background checks and meet required immunizations
