What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Network Team Leader (12 Months) position at YORK CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT?
Position Overview: Leading a team focused on providing high-quality coaching and support to schools focused on improving systems, structures and processes in service to successful student outcomes. The Network Team Leader will coordinate an integrated team of instructional and operations staff that serves schools in a network structure. Network Team Leaders will work closely with the Principals in their network to improve the practices of teaching and learning. Network Team Leaders will support the work of school-based data teams by providing coaching, professional development and support within each school. They differentiate coaching and support by identifying both adaptive and technical practices that lead to transformative leadership. The Network Team Leader will serve in a confidential managerial capacity with significant discretion and independent decision-making authority as an advisor to the Central Office regarding educational policy aimed at driving student achievement for District schools. Network Team Leaders will be evaluated in part, based on Principal satisfaction with the services and support they provide. Network Team Leaders coordinate the work of the Network Support Teams. The Network Team Leaders are expected to spend 80% of their time in schools supporting systems, structures and practices that center teaching and learning.

- Master's degree in Education required.
- Valid Principal certificate(s) issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
- Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in high-level complex problem-solving, building leadership capacity, managing and contributing to large-scale organizational change
- Demonstrated knowledge of student achievement in a public or private school, foundation and/or community organization
- Knowledge of legal mandates governing education
- Excellent communications and advocacy skills
- Proficient in the use of technical computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Student Management Systems.
- Knowledge of instruction, relevant curriculum and high-quality instructional strategies.
- Strong background in effective implementation of professional development, data assessment and instructional coaching.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, including culturally relevant pedagogy.
- Analyze assessment and other relevant data to assist in creating goals and objectives and evaluating the effectiveness of program services.
- Thorough understanding of Pennsylvania State standards.
- Understanding of the culture, lifestyle, educational and social needs of ethnic and marginalized students and children of poverty.
- Computer technology and software skills

- Coordinates the integrated team of instructional and operations staff who serve the network Principals.
- Works with schools in their network to set clear goals and improvement targets and works with schools to align activities that support achieving those goals.
- Maintains a high degree of visibility in schools served.
- Identifies, disseminates and facilitates effective practices focused on teaching and learning to improve outcomes for each and every child.
- Provides professional development and support for the work of the various school teams within each school.
- Support Central Office departments to refine and further develop the support & accountability tools to ensure that they continue to evaluate equitably and meet the needs of schools.
- Leads the team in capturing and disseminating knowledge to and from schools. This includes best practices at the school and support organization levels.
- Aid in promoting organizational health, designed to assist Principals and schools in improving student achievement and accelerating student learning, along with attaining high levels of Principal satisfaction with the services and support the network provides.
- Identifies complex and systemic needs of schools in the network and arranges for the provision of services to meet those needs.
- Determines when to introduce additional resources and/or expertise from the system.
- Creates mechanisms to capture and implement effective academic and operational practices across the team and across the initiative; tracks and follows up on implementation and performance.
- Serves on the hiring committee for Network Team members.
- Ensures quality control on both service delivery and training provided by coordinators on the team.
- Develops and leads individual and group training for coordinators on the Network Team.
