Yona is looking for a Dishwasher to join our team! The Dishwasher will handle basic food preparation, washing dishes, pots and pans, equipment cleaning, kitchen sanitation in accordance with Traditions, Inc. and Health Department regulations.

- Receives, collects soiled dishes; washes dishes according to sanitary guidelines and rules;
- Cleans equipment as assigned by chef or cook;
- Help with basic food preparation under direction of chef or cook as directed, in compliance with Safe food handling;
- Maintains dishwashing areas and dishware storage areas in clean condition at all times in accordance with rules and regulations and as directed by chef;
- Cleans workspaces, cooking and serving equipment, trays, and dishes according to department procedures.
- Loads and unloads the dishwasher; stores clean equipment and dishes in designated areas.
- Uses food supplies and equipment in an efficient manner to prevent waste.
- Uses food preparation equipment properly and follows proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Communicates with Chef or Cook throughout the shift as needed to best meet needs of the residents.
- Attends in-service education as assigned and applies information to job tasks.
- Complies with the Community's Confidentiality and Privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all state/federal privacy laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as a dishwasher.
- Further experience in customer service will be appreciated
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
- Friendly with good communication skills
- Good physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
- Must provide a criminal background check
