Job Overview
We are a bakery in Worcester. We are seeking a passionate Pastry Cook (baker) to join our team.
Experience baking and preparing pastries in commercial kitchen space is preferred. Should be comfortable moving in a fast paced environment. Weekends are required.
Experience with croissant dough, laminating and rolling, is a big plus (but will train the right person with a desire to learn).
Everything is made from scratch on site. Croissants. Cakes. Tarts
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
- Assist with food production and preparation tasks as needed, including mixing ingredients and measuring portions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
Skills
- Experience in pastry cooking or baking within a professional kitchen environment preferred.
- Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail and creativity.
- Knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
