Electro-mechanical Technician LeadLocation: San Diego 3-Month Temp-to-Hire Position SummaryThis is a hands-on technical leader responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations while serving as the primary production-level expert for system troubleshooting and technical problem-solving.This role requires more than strong electromechanical assembly skills — the ideal candidate brings a repair and field-service mindset, with the ability to understand how the full system functions, diagnose malfunctions, and resolve technical issues based on root cause analysis.You will work closely with Engineering to support system testing, investigations, and continuous improvement efforts. While the system itself is not highly complex to build, it requires precision, manual dexterity, and a deep understanding of integrated mechanical and electrical components to effectively troubleshoot and service units.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support daily production activities to meet output and quality targetsPerform advanced electromechanical assembly of systems and subassembliesServe as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting system malfunctions and performance issuesDiagnose, repair, and service electromechanical systems using system-level understandingIdentify root causes of technical issues and implement corrective actionsPartner directly with Engineering on testing, validation, investigations, and continuous improvement initiativesInterpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationSupport failure analysis and recommend design or process improvementsOversee component receiving, inspection, labeling, and inventory organizationEnsure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirementsTrain and mentor production staff on assembly techniques and troubleshooting best practicesMaintain accurate production and service documentationRequired QualificationsStrong hands-on electromechanical assembly experienceDemonstrated technical troubleshooting and repair experience (service technician or similar background strongly preferred)Ability to understand integrated mechanical/electrical systems at a system levelProven experience diagnosing and resolving technical malfunctionsExperience collaborating directly with Engineering on testing, investigations, and issue resolutionRoot cause analysis and problem-solving skillsExperience in regulated manufacturing environments (Class II medical device preferred)Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standardsExcellent communication skills and ability to bridge Production and EngineeringHigh manual dexterity and strong attention to detailAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving production environmentIdeal BackgroundTechnical service, repair technician, or field service experienceExperience supporting product testing or engineering investigationsBackground in electromechanical systems servicing rather than assembly-only rolesWorking Conditions3-month temp-to-hire, hourly, fully onsite role in San DiegoExtended standing and movement in production environmentExposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperaturesAbility to lift up to 30 lbsOccasional infrequent travel may be required#IND-SPGEstimated Min Rate: $25.00Estimated Max Rate: $32.00What’s In It for You?We welcome you to be a part of the largest and legendary global staffing companies to meet your career aspirations.
