RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR:
- Shifts are in 6-hour intervals.
- Must be available May 26 thru July 22.
- Create positive lasting memories for each child, each day.
- Lead children through fun interactive activates such as weekly field trips, arts & crafts, gym games and so much more.
- This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS TO BE A SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR:
- Minimum age of 18
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Fingerprint and negative TB clearance.
- Minimum 6 months qualifying experience.
- Current state approved first-aid certification.
- Possess knowledge and desire to work with children.
- Documentation of high school diploma or equivalency.
- Possesses mature judgement and sound decision-making.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members, peers and supervisor.
- Ability to effectively communicate information on YMCA Child Care Programs.
- Must be observant, safety conscious and able to react calmly and quickly in an emergency.
