Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children in the Cleveland, TN community? Join the YMCA as a Program Director for YCAP, the Youth Community Action Project, an early intervention and prevention program for kids ages 10-14 who need after school care and mentorship because of:
- Low grades
- Behavior management
- Anger management
- Acting out at home
The Program Director will oversee the daily management of programs and services and will develop personalized treatment plans addressing spiritual, physical, mental, and social needs of each child.
Responsibilities:
- Implement Y-CAP program activities and services
- Maintain administrative records for participants
- Network with school teachers and administrators
- Make periodic home visits to update action plans
- Recruit and work with volunteers
- Develop positive relationships with organizations and agencies
- Participate in the annual Community Support Campaign
- Adhere to the program operating budget
- Ability to work special events and weekends (only when special programming occurs - primarily Monday-Friday hours)
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with at-risk youth
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective personal organization and leadership abilities
- At least 21 years of age with a driver's license
- Experience in fundraising is a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
