What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Registrar position at YMCA?
Under the supervision of the Camp Executive Director, the Camp Registrar administers and directs all facets of the Camp MacLean program registration process. The responsibilities of this part-time position include but are not limited to frontline customer service and sales representation, assist with camper sales, managing camper registrations, revenue processing, basic accounting transactions, logistical processing of marketing mailings, accurate record keeping and filing, and management of office machines and supplies. Carry out the mission of YMCA Camp MacLean. While reporting to the Executive Director, the Camp Registrar works closely with the YMCA Finance Department.

Scope of Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper following of all procedures, policies and public relations at all times
- Act as a team member, working closely with other staff on all interrelated matters
- In conjunction with the camp program director, co-administrates and assists with the selling of camp sessions
- First line communication to all MacLean constituents
- Develop relationships with MacLean customers, be attentive to their needs
- Answer phones with a strong emphasis on customer service
- Oversee and manage the camper registration process for resident, day, winter and family camp programs; Assist as needed in managing the group service calendar, writing and distributing user group agreements.
- Administer financial transactions related to revenue; responsible for bank deposits
- Administer and manage basic financial accounts for campers and guests
- Responsible for camp mail distribution and delivery
- Responsible for the technical & logistical processing all marketing initiatives and mailings
- Maintain and manage camper database; compile statistical data as needed
- Assist in training the summer office administrative aide
- Work with the year-round business office to make sure all business functions are professional, efficient and accurate
- Responsible for office supply inventory, purchasing and distribution of supplies
- Responsible for maintaining accurate files and records
- Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and functionality of all office equipment including copiers, phone systems etc.
- All other duties as assigned

Minimum and Required Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Minimum requirements include High School Diploma plus at least three years of experience in camp operations, office administration, sales, and/or experience in general bookkeeping.
- Previous sales/customer service experience required.
- Well-developed writing skills required.
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, excel, power point or similar software programs.
- Experience and strong knowledge of social media is a preferred.
- Ability to work with other seasonal and/or full-time business office staff is required.
- Must be an energetic person committed to the YMCA mission.
- This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills. Monday thru Friday

- Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
- Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children

- Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
Salary : $21 - $22
