The YMCA Par 3 is looking for outgoing and dependable volunteer Summer Camp Counselors to assist with our youth golf camps. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with kids and being outdoors. Volunteers will help lead campers through golf instruction, games, and daily activities while creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment on the course.
Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily golf instruction, drills, and on-course play
- Supervise campers throughout camp activities, ensuring safety at all times
- Help set up and break down practice stations, equipment, and games
- Encourage participation and keep campers engaged and having fun
- Support staff with group management and transitions between activities
- Serve as a positive role model and represent the YMCA in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled camp days
- Enjoy working with children in an outdoor, active environment
- Basic knowledge of golf is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to be hands-on throughout the day
- Ability to work outdoors in summer conditions (heat, sun, etc.)
