- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Demonstrated experience leading marketing initiatives and managing projects from strategy through execution.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to provide direction, delegate responsibilities, support performance, and foster accountability among staff and volunteers.
- Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
- Experience managing social media platforms, email marketing, websites, and digital communications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite; Canva and Constant Contact experience preferred.
- Experience with photography and basic video production.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
- Nonprofit, recreation, education, or community organization experience is preferred
- Ability to attend evening and weekend events as required.
- Ability to move throughout YMCA facilities and outdoor program areas, some with rough terrain, for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of marketing materials, or equipment.
- Ability to travel between YMCA locations and community event sites.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on phone and via email.
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (YMCA provided)
- YMCA required safety and compliance training, including Child Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communication, and New Employee Safety Orientation.
