What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellness Center Attendants position at YMCA of the Twin Tiers?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining a quality fitness area and experience within the YMCA facility. Provide fitness instruction, education, motivation, and member services. Responsible for continuous high quality customer service which includes but is not limited to meeting customer needs and presenting a positive attitude toward the YMCA, its staff and programs.
This position also treats everyone with courtesy, respect and consideration; displays integrity; listens actively and genuinely; communicates in a clear and pleasant manner; embraces differences among people; demonstrates an active willingness to learn and grow; accepts constructive criticism; works cooperatively as a team member.
Greets everyone by using names whenever possible; extends thanks whenever appropriate; makes relationship building the number one priority at all times. This position is responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA is conveyed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Greet members as they enter facility.
2. Interact with members on the fitness floor.
3. Provide member orientation for the fitness area and equipment.
4. Assist members with proper set up on exercise equipment.
5. Ensure all facility policies and procedures are followed.
6. Maintain clean exercise area by: cleaning and sanitizing exercise equipment; returning equipment to proper place; reporting any mechanical failures to the supervisor.
7. This job description may not be all-inclusive and duties may be modified when deemed appropriate by the CEO. Employees are expected to perform all other duties as assigned and directed by the CEO.
