Retreat Center Housekeeper

Join our dynamic team as a Housekeeper and play a vital role in creating a welcoming, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and guests alike. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across residential or hospitality settings, mainly in our Retreat Center building. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will ensure every space is spotless, safe, and inviting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive living experience while honing your skills in cleaning, customer service, and household management.

This position is needed for the month of June, with the ability to add more summer hours or join our full-time staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas in our Retreat Center, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common spaces, ensuring surfaces are sanitized and clutter-free.
• Handle laundry duties of linens efficiently, including bagging, folding, making beds, and organizing linens and clothing items. All washing is taken care of for you.
• Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets.
• Support residents or guests by providing friendly customer service, addressing their needs promptly and professionally.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures to prevent the spread of germs and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Manage janitorial supplies inventory and notify management when stock levels are low to ensure continuous service delivery.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in residential or commercial settings is highly preferred.
• Experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments is advantageous for understanding guest expectations.
• Demonstrated ability in residential cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and organizing spaces effectively.
