The Cape Ann YMCA is seeking a Swim Instructor Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Swim Academy. In this role, you will support and lead swim staff, manage scheduling and communication, and ensure a high-quality, welcoming experience for every participant and family.
What You'll Do:-
Manage daily swim lesson scheduling and rosters

Respond to Swim Academy emails, phone calls, and member inquiries

Coordinate swim registrations, participant placement, and skill-level assessments

Support, train, and mentor Swim Instructors, including assisting with certifications

Obtain certification to lead Swim Instructor Courses

Role model effective swim instruction and customer service

Support curriculum implementation and distribute certificates/passports

Manage private swim lesson enrollment

Communicate regularly with staff and families through emails and newsletters

Maintain organization, cleanliness, and readiness of the swim facility

Implement strategies to support program growth, retention, and recruitment

Previous swim instruction or lifeguarding experience

Proven leadership abilities and strong organizational skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate staff

- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to obtain the Lifeguard instructor certification and Swim Instructor certifications within 90 days.
