The YMCA of Orange County has an immediate need for a Personal Trainer at the Mission Viejo Family YMCA. We're passionate about empowering our clients to live healthier, stronger lives. We're looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and certified Personal Trainer to help our members crush their goals and stay motivated every step of the way.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or group fitness coaching
- Explain and demonstrate safe exercise principles
- Develop and implement exercise programs
- Proactive communication with members about programs and packages
- Follow and enforce safety regulations and other policies and procedures
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Hiring Criteria
The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Experience & Certifications:
- Current Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA or similar)
- 1 year of personal training experience preferred
- Strong communication and motivational skills
- Passion for fitness and helping others succeed
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to positively motivate members/children/participants in fitness activities
- Strong customer and results orientation
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
