Private Swim Instructor - Boulder

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for Private Swim Instructors at the YMCA.

The salary range is $17.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience. In addition, we offer a 10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

• Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines,
• Prepare lesson plans accordingly.
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents.
• Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and as appropriate refers students and parents to other programs.
• Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.).
• Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
• Completes related reports as necessary.
• Organizes and puts away needed class equipment.
• Reports damaged equipment.
• Attends all staff meetings and in-service training.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Staff are expected to become certified or supply documentation of current certification in CPR and First Aid (these courses can be completed through the YMCA).
• Staff will be expected to work well on a team, communicate well with youth, parents, and colleagues, and be committed to high-quality programming.
