Overview
Are you comfortable and confident in the water? Does laughter and the sounds of splashing make you smile? If you've got the personality, we can train you for this job.
Opportunities include weekday mornings, weekday afternoons, multiple opportunities on Saturdays and/or Sundays. You do not need to be available for all shifts to apply.
The salary range is $16.50-$22.50 per hour depending on experience and availability and we offer a 10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities
- Swim Instructors are enthusiastic and portray a positive attitude.
- Relate positively to a variety of people including other staff, parents, and program participants.
- Instructors must be organized, and eager to teach (lesson plans provided).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching swim lessons or previous competitive swimming experience is not necessary but preferred.
- Proficient swimming and safety/rescue skills.
- Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful.
- Blood Borne Pathogens Training within 30 days of being hired.
- YMCA Swimming Lessons Instructor and Red Cross Water Safety Instructor preferred.
