Position Type: Part-time
Pay Range starts at $14 per hour (or more depending on experience)

What You’ll Do:
- Supervise, schedule, and lead lifeguards to maintain proper pool coverage and safety.
- Ensure the pool and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and ready for members.
- Check and adjust pool and whirlpool chemical levels as needed.
- Assist in leading staff training, evaluations, and aquatic readiness drills.
- Build relationships with members to connect them to YMCA aquatics programming.
- Model and enforce YMCA safety standards and pool rules while addressing concerns promptly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum Age: 17
- At least 500 hours and two seasons of lifeguarding experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a passion for service.
- Experience with pool operations and testing pool chemicals; Certified Pool Operator certification preferred.
Certifications Required:
- Before your first shift: New Hire Orientation and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
- Within six months of hire: Certification in Adult Mental Health First Aid USA.
