Job Description
The Aquatic Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers with their aquatic needs by answering questions, providing accurate advice, and carefully bagging livestock purchases.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain aquariums, packing area, storage area, bathroom and other areas of the business
- Cleaning and maintenance of saltwater and saltwater reef aquariums
- Care for fish, corals, and invertebrates in-store
- Preparing food portions and feeding fish, invertebrates and coral
- Track and update inventory to reflect any changes in stock or pricing
- Assist customers in-store and over the phone with questions and livestock purchases
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of fish species and coral reefs
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of fish species and coral preferred; willingness to learn required
- Possess knowledge of saltwater fish, coral reefs and aquariums to provide helpful guidance to customers
- Comfortable handling live fish, corals, and invertebrates
Schedule:
This position will work weekdays, and weekends as needed.
Our store hours are:
Monday-Friday 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
Saturday 10:00AM-5:00PM
Sunday: 11:00AM-3:00PM
Pay:
$16.00-$18.00/hour
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
