Curriculum & Instructional Coordinator - Y Academy Early Education Center
Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position YMCA of Greater Nashua
Position Summary
The YMCA of Greater Nashua is seeking an Early Childhood Curriculum & Instructional Coordinator to help strengthen teaching practices, curriculum, and classroom quality across our early education program.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced early childhood educator who enjoys coaching teachers, building relationships, being in classrooms, and turning best practices into meaningful learning experiences for children.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Instruction
- Lead developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum implementation.
- Support teachers in creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
- Ensure curriculum aligns with NH Early Learning Standards, Pyramid Model, YMCA standards, and best practices.
- Review weekly lesson plans and provide feedback.
- Support quality enrichment opportunities.
Teacher Coaching & Development
- Coach, mentor, and encourage teaching staff.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide strengths-based feedback.
- Model effective teaching and classroom practices.
- Support teachers in applying professional development to their daily work.
Classroom Quality & Child Development
- Promote positive teacher-child relationships and engaging learning environments.
- Support effective routines, transitions, guidance, and classroom organization.
- Help teachers use observations and assessments to individualize learning.
- Support child portfolios and developmental documentation.
- Encourage strong family communication regarding children's growth and progress.
Professional Learning
- Facilitate curriculum and classroom-practice training.
- Identify professional development opportunities based on staff and program needs.
- Support a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

Qualifications
Required:
· Minimum 3 years of early childhood teaching experience.
· Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to provide supportive, constructive coaching.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Experience coaching or mentoring educators.
- Knowledge of NH Early Learning Standards and Pyramid Model.
- Experience facilitating professional development.
