Program Leadership & Delivery
- Coordinate AOA programs including social events, potlucks, and local field trips
- Assist in designing and improving programs to meet the needs of the Parkville community
- Build strong relationships with members to enhance satisfaction and retention
- Create a welcoming, inclusive environment for participants of all abilities
- Respond to member needs and concerns with professionalism and care
- Maintain accurate program records, participation tracking, and evaluations
- Assist with scheduling and daily program operations
- Ensure programs meet YMCA safety standards and risk management practices
- Support marketing and outreach efforts to grow participation
- Direct responsibility for Parkville while helping promote Riverside and Platte City programs
- Engage in community outreach to increase awareness of YMCA Active Older Adult programs throughout Platte County
- Assist with special events and center-wide activities
- Develop volunteers and help lead community-building initiatives
- Assist in supporting staff and volunteers through onboarding, scheduling, and guidance
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture
- Assist with annual campaigns and center initiatives
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in this or a related field.
- Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
- Able to make independent and sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
- Able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality.
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills, and be multi-task proficient.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software.
