These evidence-based classes are designed to improve the health, mobility, and quality of life for participants with specific needs, including older adults and individuals living with Parkinson’s disease.

- EnhanceFitness - An evidence-based group exercise program focused on strength, balance, flexibility, and cardiovascular health for active older adults

- Lead safe, engaging, and inclusive group fitness classes
- Deliver high-quality instruction for Pedaling for Parkinson’s and/or EnhanceFitness
- Create a supportive and encouraging environment for participants of varying abilities
- Modify exercises to meet participant needs and physical limitations
- Monitor class safety, form, and participant progress
- Build strong relationships that support member retention and community connection
- Participate in required YMCA onboarding and specialty program trainings
- Ensure equipment is prepared, safe, and ready for class use
- Communicate participant needs, concerns, or progress updates with Healthy Living leadership
- Use microphone in class, if available.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Current nationally recognized Group Exercise certification required.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid.
- Complete and pass audition with director.
- Able to relate to people on all levels in a friendly and consistent manner.
- Able to reflect a positive attitude.
