Position Overview
Start Date: Immediate
End Date: June 2026 (summer work may be available)
Compensation: $23/hour, part-time, non-exempt
Schedule: 5 days/week, Monday to Friday
Standard shift: 1:00 PM–6:30 PM (Wednesdays 12:45 PM start)
Hours: 26–28 hours/week
Locations: Elementary and middle school sites in Richmond, San Pablo, El Sobrante, and Oakland

What You’ll Do
As a Group Leader, you will be a consistent, positive presence for a group of students and help shape a safe, engaging afterschool experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supervising a group of approximately 15–20 students
- Facilitating academic support, enrichment activities, and physical play
- Creating engaging lessons that promote creativity, teamwork, and exploration
- Building an inclusive environment where students feel respected and supported
- Monitoring attendance and actively engaging students throughout the day
- Collaborating with site staff to maintain strong routines and program quality
- Serving as a trusted role model and mentor on campus
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- 48 completed college units or passing score on the Instructional Aide Exam
- (We will support you if you need to take the exam.)
- Ability to clear DOJ/FBI background checks
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within 30 days of hire
- (Provided at no cost to you.)
