Overview
Yeshiva Har Torah is seeking a passionate and dynamic 7th Grade English/Language Arts Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time position includes teaching four sections each afternoon, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of reading and writing, foster critical thinking skills, and create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach 7th grade English Language Arts, focusing on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with educational standards and school values.
- Cultivate a student-centered classroom that encourages discussion, creativity, and analytical thinking.
- Assess student progress through varied and meaningful assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support student growth and school initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure student success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching experience in English Language Arts, preferably at the middle school level.
- Strong knowledge of literature, writing instruction, and grammar.
