We are currently hiring a .9 night shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective responses to medical emergencies, including performing CPR until relieved.
- Administer medications and accurately document in the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
- Conduct patient assessments, perform histories and physicals, and refer to appropriate healthcare providers as needed.
- Assist Physicians during patient examinations and implement treatment orders.
- Educate patients and correctional staff on healthcare practices and safety protocols.
- Collect specimens and samples as directed by Physician orders.
- Maintain compliance with infection control practices, including Universal Precautions, and adhere to safety and security regulations for controlled medications, keys, and sharps.
- Perform venipuncture and IV therapy.
- Actively participate in disaster drills and follow all established security and safety protocols.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Active CPR certification required.
- Knowledgeable about state laws and regulations governing nursing practice.
- Completion of clinical competencies (initial and annual) as per role requirements.
