Valid Arkansas State Certification (middle/secondary ELA)
Yerger Middle School – ELA Teacher Expectations
- Provide high-quality instruction in English Language Arts for students in grades 7–8, aligned with Arkansas teaching and learning standards and district curriculum expectations.
- Design and implement instructional plans that strengthen students’ reading, comprehension, grammar, and writing skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior to ensure a safe, orderly, and engaging learning environment.
- Use data to guide instruction and provide targeted support for student growth.
- Maintain consistent communication with parents, guardians, and staff regarding student progress and achievement.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, including participation in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and curriculum development opportunities.
- Maintain positive, collaborative, and professional working relationships with colleagues.
