Position Overview
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring all materials, components, and finished products meet strict quality and regulatory standards (ISO, AS9100, ITAR). This role involves precise inspection, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This is a temp to perm role for 12 months with full benefist through YER.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products
- Use precision tools (micrometers, calipers, CMMs) to verify specifications
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical requirements
- Document inspection results and non-conformance reports
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA)
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams
- Maintain traceability and quality records
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with standards
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- 3 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with inspection software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with aerospace component receiving inspection
- Familiarity with vendor documentation review
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives
Pay: Up to $33.85 per hour
