Pump Technician – Third Shift
Location: Pewaukee
Pay rate: $25-30 per hour 10% shift differential for 2nd shift
Important: MUST be able to train on first shift (estimated 4-6 weeks). Our target to start third shift will be Sunday, May 3rd
About the Role Our client is hiring experienced Heavy Machinery Technician to join the production team in Pewaukee, WI. This is a mechanically intensive, hands‑on role ideal for individuals with backgrounds in heavy industrial environments such as metal fabrication, welding, industrial maintenance, rotating equipment repair, or crane and rigging operations.You will assemble, disassemble, repair, and test industrial pump systems used in critical water and fluid‑handling applications. This is true heavy mechanical work—not light assembly. Candidates must be comfortable working with heavy components, overhead cranes, precision tools, and industrial test equipment.

What You Will Do
- Tear down, inspect, repair, and reassemble industrial pumps and rotating equipment
- Perform hydrostatic and performance testing using specialized tools and test stands
- Operate overhead cranes, hoists, rigging, and industrial material‑handling equipment
- Interpret mechanical drawings, work instructions, and test specifications
- Prep, paint, and package pumps and components for shipment
- Support receiving, stocking, and fulfilling parts and pump orders
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow lockout/tagout and safety protocols
Who Thrives in This Role

- Heavy mechanical assembly, teardown, or rebuild
- Fabrication, welding, machine repair, diesel or industrial engine work
- Operating overhead cranes and rigging equipment
- Using precision tools (micrometers, dial indicators, torque tools, calipers)
- Working in tight assembly cells, elevated positions, or enclosed spaces
- Troubleshooting mechanical systems with minimal oversight
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years in mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, pump repair, or heavy equipment repair
- Experience with pumps, gearboxes, motors, or rotating equipment
- Overhead crane, hoist, or forklift experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- Basic computer skills for work orders and test documentation
- Strong communication, teamwork, and safety awareness
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Lift 50 lbs and handle heavy components daily
- Stand, walk, bend, push, and pull throughout the shift
- Work in enclosed spaces or small assembly cells
- Use hand and power tools, rigging, and material‑handling equipment
Occasional overtime based on business needs
